Jen has spent a lifetime at Camp Wonderland. She first came through the gates at age six and has never left! As a camper arriving at camp from a small town in central Massachusetts, she experienced what children still find today: a world away so close to home. Camp opened up a larger worldview for Jen as a young girl, a motivation that still drives her today–to help children experience the love of God through unique activities that can only be experienced at summer camp. The mentors and leaders who poured into Jen’s young life changed her trajectory . The friendships she formed and the memories she made inspired her to pass on the experience to others.
Jen’s first summer on the staff was in 1987 as a waitress and over the next ten years, she served as a housekeeper, counselor, recreation director and unit leader. Following her graduation from Gordon College in 1994 with a degree in Education, Jen joined the permanent youth department staff. Jen has served as the Assistant Camp Director since 1996. She has recently become an associate visitor for the American Camping Association.
Wonderland has been a family for Jen and she met her husband at camp, where they were married two summers later. Now that Jen and Drew have three children, they are part of the fabric of camp as “staff kids” and love camp almost as much as their mother does.
